Starting Out: Base Level

Posting Schedule

For service-based industries, aim to post 3 times per week on both Instagram and Facebook. You can use Meta’s content planner to schedule posts on both platforms.

To make sure you are engaging, educating, and enticing your audience, we suggest balancing your posts with the following types of content:

• Entertainment

• Promotions

• Testimonials

• Company Spotlights

• Moving Tips

Daily Engagement: Level Up

Daily Tasks (Approx. 30 minutes)

⚠️ Important:

Limit the number of accounts you follow each day to avoid being flagged by Instagram.

1. Follow 5 Realtors

• Send them a friendly message (see samples below).
• Like their most recent story, if available.

2. Follow 5 Local Businesses

(e.g., landscapers, chambers, restaurants, etc.)

• Search for “city name + business.”
• Follow them, send a message, and like their most recent story.

3. Engage with Stories

• Like and comment on 10 stories from people you already follow.

4. Engage with Posts

• Like and comment on 10 posts in your feed.
• For each post, like or reply to 5 additional comments.

*Avoid engaging with “suggested for you” or “sponsored” content.

5. Add 3 Stories Daily

• Post one in the morning, one midday, and one in the evening.
• You can share posts from other realtors or re-share your own older posts with new captions.

Tip for Comments:

Aim for meaningful engagement. Instead of just saying “congratulations,” ask thoughtful questions. For example:

“The staging looks fantastic! Who did the staging? Great work!”

Follow-Up Message:

When someone follows you, respond with:

“Thanks for the follow! ❤️ We look forward to seeing your content!”

Note:

Ensure that the accounts you follow are active and regularly posting content.

Message Samples To Send After Following Accounts

Message Sample 1:

Hey! 👋 We love connecting with other local businesses in the area. You should have just received a follow from us. We will be liking and sharing your posts when we see them.

A follow back would be awesome! Looking forward to growing together!

Message Sample 2:

Hey (NAME)! 👋 We’re all about building connections with local businesses like yours! We just followed your page and looking forward to seeing more of your content—we’re going to like, share, and support your posts whenever we see them.

If you’re up for it, we’d love for you to follow us back and support a fellow local business. Thanks!

Message Sample 3:

Hi (NAME)! 👋 We love supporting local businesses in the area, so we just gave you a follow to stay updated on your posts. You’ll definitely see us liking and sharing your content!

If you’re interested, we’d love a follow back and to grow a community of local support together. Looking forward to connecting.
