Social Media Engagement / Networking Plan

This DAILY PLAN is designed to be easily executed by anyone in your office, regardless of their experience level. With just about an 30 minutes a day dedicated to following and engaging with local businesses and realtors, you can significantly enhance your networking and social media presence.

Daily Engagement

Most Ideal For MOBILE.

Daily Task (approx. 30 minutes):
⚠️ Important:
(Don’t follow more than the recommended amount of accounts per day. Your account may get flagged by Instagram)

Follow 5 Realtors

  • Send each of them a message (Message Samples Below), and “like” their most recent story if available.

Follow 5 Local Businesses

  • (such as landscapers, restaurants, interior designers, roofers, plumbers, handymen, painters, electricians, cleaners, HVAC services). Search for “city name + business,” scroll through the posts, follow them, send a message (Message Samples Below), and “like” their most recent story if available..

Like & Comment on 10 Stories

  • At the top you’ll see people’s stories. These are their daily updates they post. Like and comment on 10 from people you already follow

Like & Comment on 10 Posts

  • These are the posts that appear in your feed as you scroll. Like and comment on 10 posts from people you follow, and take it a step further by liking or replying to 5 additional comments on each post. Avoid engaging with “suggested for you” or “sponsored” content—posts from the people you follow won’t have these labels under their names.

Add 3 Stories – One in the morning, one midday, and one in the evening

  • Stories appear at the top of social media feeds, so posting them regularly helps keep your name visible to your followers. You don’t need to create fresh content daily for your stories. A simple approach is to share posts from other realtors featuring homes for sale. You can also re-share your older posts, adding a caption or some commentary to keep them engaging.

Tip for comments: Provide meaningful comments or ask thoughtful questions rather than just saying “congratulations!” For example, if they’re showcasing a house, you could say something like, “The staging looks fantastic! Who did the staging? Great work!” This approach fosters deeper engagement and shows genuine interest.

When you get a follow, send a message back: “Thanks for the follow! ❤️We look forward to seeing your content!”

Note: Make sure the people you follow have active accounts and are posting content.
